Let's keep looking at the Habits that stop us and the ones that help us achieve that Positively Inspiring Success! If you'd like to share the newsletter with friends or unsubscribe from the list, see the links at the bottom of the page. Happy Thanksgiving from my heart to yours! Warm Regards, Mark Weinstein
How would you like to reduce your stress, be happier, and get more of what you want to do accomplished? The Peak Life Habit of Creating A Power Schedule is your next step. How many of you are keeping parts or all of your schedule in your head instead of in your PDA? How many of you are you counting on your mind to remember appointments and "to-do's"? Are you awakening at 3:00AM with a mental alarm about something that you "need" to do? Creating a Power Schedule will benefit you whether you are already organized and well-scheduled, or not. Schedule all areas of your life: fitness, relationships, family, fun, etc. This is a good start towards keeping yourself in shape, your families happy, and you happy and fulfilled with your integrity. Next: Keep your word - complete what you schedule. Third, if you miss something or your day goes awry, No Suffering Allowed! Simply reschedule items that didn't happen, and do a quick reality check about what you are scheduling and how much you are intending to accomplish. Have fun creating a schedule that is best for your life, based on your career, relationships, fitness, play, family, children, etc. There are three key Peak Life Habits for success here: The Discipline Habit, The Completion Habit, and The Patience Habit.
Are you experiencing interruptions from co-workers, friends, family, customers, vendors, the phone, babysitters, others' schedules, kids and all manner of things under the sun? What about distractions? Some examples of our Distraction Habits are: Surfing the Internet, checking e- mail, talking, eating, reading, answering the phone and voicemail, daydreaming, helping someone else with their problems... Here's what I want you to do: Interrupt your distractions and interruptions. Put aside your Can't Say No Habit or Confrontation With Success Habit. Recognize the power you actually have over interruptions and distractions in your life and choose from the personal accountability habit of "I" instead of from the Victim Habit. "I" choose to stay focused playing in the Action Zone of my life; "I" choose not to be distracted. "I" schedule time for interruptions. "I" reschedule or simply Shift out of my distractions. "I" stay playful and focused, keeping true to my life's dreams and heart's desires. "I" create greatness! Be Habitually Great.
Take a moment to create a Stop Doing List right now. What distractions or interruptions are you going to stop? I am going to Stop Doing _______________________________________ as of the following date:_______________________. Great. Now make sure to put this commitment right into your schedule and follow through with it.
